One of the biggest problems every dog owner has to go through is learning how to stop excessive dog barking. A great way to get your dog to stop barking at your command is to simply make a noise that gets it's attention. Some people like to do this by putting something in a cane or bottle and then shake it. It might be just as effective to blow a whistle or squirt water towards it.

Allot of dogs bark at the neighbors. If your dog does this then you should try to introduce your dog to your neighbor. As your dog gets to know your neighbor he or she is less likely to bark at them. Be sure that your neighbors are not teasing your dog when you are not there.
As you can see learning how to stop your dog from barking is something that you can do. All it takes is a little time and patience.
